Part Time Contract Holiday Flower Delivery Driver

Walter Knoll Florist is looking for temporary contract drivers to deliver flowers for the upcoming holiday (Mother’s Day or Valentine’s Day). This is a one to three day opportunity culminating on the day of the holiday. You do not need to be able to work multiple days and in fact, the number of drivers required each of those days will be dependent upon the number of delivery orders we receive.

Payment is per delivery and can be as much as $8.50 per stop for the two holidays; express deliveries pay more, up to $11.00. Deliveries to some outskirt areas may pay a surcharge. Drivers completing 10 or more deliveries qualify for a bouquet of flowers as a bonus. If this is your first time to deliver flowers a first run of 12 to 15 with a second run of up to 15 is reasonable. These numbers may vary dependent upon the number of orders received for the day in question. You must be well groomed, polite, and able to keep the paperwork straight. You need to be able to look up an address in a street guide to route yourself, and you must be able to drive to that location. You must have your own vehicle and insurance (Valid drivers license and proof of insurance required). Flowers CANNOT be transported in an open pickup truck nor, dependent upon the temperature, in a trunk or an unheated camper shell. You must have a working cell phone and call the completion of each delivery into a touch-tone computer system. The starting location for deliveries is our main facility at 2765 LaSalle St, (Florist Row, near Jefferson and Chouteau). You are able to select packages and delivery areas you wish to take. We deliver to all Saint Louis City and County as well as St Charles, St Peters, O’Fallon, Wildwood, Ballwin, Chesterfield, Arnold, Imperial. We also deliver to areas in Illinois. Successful contract work can lead to permanent employment.

You then are required to view the Contract Driver Training Presentation. New drivers must attend Driver Training at our office at 2765 LaSalle Street. Drivers who have previously driven for us must either view the training at our office or view and/or download the training at http://wkf.com/driver.

If you are not attending the training at our office, you must then print the Contract Driver Memo of Understanding at http://wkf.com/driver. You must fill out and sign the Memo of Understanding and fax it, along with a copy of your driver’s license and your Proof of Insurance card to 314.633.8715 or 314.633.8753. If you cannot fax this information you must bring it with you when you report at your assigned time to deliver.
